City of Wabash

Downtown Wabash has seen significant public and private sector investments in recent years, and it's a vibrant core of the community. Mayor Scott Long was the first community leader in NE Indiana to put the H.O.M.E method in practice with the Housing Resource Hub, and he has continued the partnership in order to ensure that all community stakeholders - residents, employers, lenders/banks, and realtors - are working together to overcome the community's housing challenges. The City's effort is intended to help address a countywide trend of population decline, which community leaders attribute in part to a lack of suitable housing.
